Located between Cleveland and Akron, Brunswick is a city with the atmosphere of a small community, but with easy access to everything in the city. Brunswick's population has increased to 34,152 residents and is growing. Brunswick Community Recreation Center is a newer, spacious facility featuring an indoor pool, fitness center, gymnasium, and a wide variety of activities and classes. Membership prices are very reasonable for Brunswick residents, and family packages are available. Brunswick is also host to 14 other outdoor parks with beautiful fishing ponds, picnicking areas, playgrounds and ball fields. Scenic walking and hiking trails can be found in many of Brunswick's parks.

The First Family of settlers arrived in Brunswick from Connecticut in 1815. The early years of Brunswick consisted of mainly farming, but religion and education were a very high priority. Brunswick's outlook on the community has really not changed much since the early years. Citizens still hold family, religion, education, and politics as some of the community's strongest and greatest treasures. Brunswick Historical Society recently restored a farmhouse and barn on a 32 acre farm and is now called "Heritage Farm". Anyone can come and tour the farm and see what Brunswick life was like before 1900. The farm is a featured stop during the Fall Foliage Tour every year.
